This building is the BC Electric Building that was built as a station and hub for the electrified tramway service that connected the lower mainland before our modern transit service. Vehicles would enter and exit the building diagonally and travel up the Fraser Valley, Kingsway(via Queen's park) and Vancouver Via Marpole.
